Privacy policy

This policy explains how Oradent Health (operated by Surplus Apparel Pty Ltd, ABN 40 642 860 080) ("Oradent", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit oradent.com.au, buy from us, join our email list or contact us. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, email, phone number, billing and delivery address, what you buy and your order history.
  • Payment details: handled by our payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Afterpay and others shown at checkout). We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Account and Head Plan details: your login, saved addresses, subscription schedule and preferences.
  • Marketing preferences: your email address when you join our list or claim a welcome gift, and whether you open or click our emails.
  • Device and browsing information: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar tools.
  • Messages and reviews: anything you send us, and reviews you choose to publish.

How we use it

  • To take, deliver and support your order, including returns, the 7 Day Smile Guarantee and warranty claims.
  • To run your Head Plan and send reminders before each charge.
  • To send you news, offers and care guides, if you have agreed. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To prevent fraud and keep our store secure.
  • To understand how our website is used and to improve it and our advertising.
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as tax records.

Who we share it with

We share only what each provider needs to do its job for us:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and checkout.
  • Payment providers such as Shopify Payments, PayPal and Afterpay.
  • Delivery partners such as Australia Post and Sendle, who receive your name, address and contact details to deliver your parcel.
  • Email and subscription tools, including Klaviyo for emails and Appstle for Head Plan subscriptions.
  • Reviews, through Judge.me, when you choose to leave a review.
  • Advertising and analytics partners such as Meta and Google, which help us measure and show our ads, subject to your cookie choices.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

We never sell your personal information.

Overseas disclosure

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States, Canada, Ireland and other countries where they operate. We choose providers with strong security and privacy commitments.

Cookies

We use cookies so the store works (for example your bag and checkout), to remember your preferences, and to measure and improve our marketing. You can manage cookies through the cookie banner, where shown, and in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may stop parts of the store from working.

Keeping it safe

Your information is stored with reputable providers who use encryption and access controls. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires (for example, tax records for at least five years).

Your choices and rights

  • You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email.
  • You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need it. Email hello@oradent.com.au.
  • If you live outside Australia, you may have further rights under local law, such as the GDPR or California law. Contact us and we will help.

Children

Our store is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to order for you.

Complaints

If you have a concern about your privacy, email hello@oradent.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
